Risk education part 2 – car (skid pan)
Risk education part 2 is the practical part: you drive our cars on the skid pan and feel how a car behaves when it skids, brakes hard or meets a sudden obstacle. About 3–4 hours, taught in English, car provided.
What the course covers
The Swedish Transport Agency describes part 2 as training on speed, safety and driving in different road and weather conditions, including a skid pan. At Landvetter you drive modern automatic cars fitted with skid systems on a newly paved track: braking, swerving and regaining control at several levels of grip, with obstacles appearing suddenly. Your instructor walks you through every exercise and you discuss what happened afterwards.

- No learner permit and no driving-school enrolment needed.
- You drive on your own, so you need good driving experience. Do this course near the end of your training.
- Valid photo ID (BankID is not accepted).
On the day
- Arrive 15 minutes early at Grepetjärn 101, Härryda. Dress for the weather.
- Briefing, then driving on the track in our cars. The exercises build on each other.
- When you have passed, we report it to the Swedish Transport Agency.

Do I need my own car?
No. You drive our cars and it is included in the price.
What do I need to know beforehand?
You drive on your own, so you need driving experience and should be near the end of your training. No theory knowledge is required and no learner permit.
What should I wear and bring?
Clothes for the weather, since part of the training is outdoors, and valid photo ID (BankID is not accepted).

Do I need a learner permit (körkortstillstånd) to attend?
No. You do not need a learner permit for either part. For Risk 2 you do need good driving experience, since you drive on your own.

Do I have to do Risk 1 before Risk 2?
No, the order is up to you. Both parts must be completed before you take the theory test and the driving test.
What should I bring?
Valid photo ID (BankID is not accepted) and clothes for the weather, since part of the training is outdoors. Arrive 15 minutes before the start.
I am coming by bus, how do I get the last bit?
We pick you up at the bus stop Stora Övattnet (stop B) about 15 minutes before the course starts. Bus 300 towards Kinna from Gothenburg stops there.
What is required to pass?
Taking part in the whole session and reaching all the course goals. ID and sobriety are checked before the course starts. Missing ID, arriving late or being under the influence of alcohol or drugs means you are refused without a refund.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes, our courses can be rescheduled. You cancel or reschedule through your login in the customer portal. Online purchases have a 14-day right of withdrawal as long as the service has not started.
